My mom has asked me once or twice “what lessons have you learned from everything going on with the pandemic?” At the beginning, I would tell her I’m going to make more of an effort to stay connected with family and friends and I’m going to work on developing some skills. So that’s what I did, but it was all I did. If I wasn’t focused on researching something, working on m blog, or learning something new from a Youtube video, I was doing daily tasks that are a part of life. Guess what? I begin to dread these same activities I was excited about weeks before and I realized that although I was doing these things, I was unmotivated to do any of it. However, my goals still remained the same so I had to learn how to stay motivated. One of my favorite ways to do that was quotes so I’m sharing 4 quotes help you stay motivated while staying in.

4 Quotes To Help You Stay Motivated While Staying In

“When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on.” ~ Franklin D. Roosevelt
There are some days when you wonder if what you’re doing is really worth all the effort and everything you’re putting into it. On days like these, I look at this quote because I could give up and accept I might not be able to do this thing, reach this goal, but what if I hung on a little bit longer? What if I stuck out the hard part one more day or gave it one more shot? Could I do that and would I be okay if I didn’t, would you?

Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.” ~ Carol Burnett
Someone once said to me “remember why you want to do this because that will get you through the difficult times.” The comment was in reference to something I was working on at the time, but then I realized it could be applied to many situations especially those that involve the time times I’m struggling to do something on my own. I realized then that I could give, but or think out about why I wanted to do this and what the end result would be.
There may be several things that are not in your control, but focusing on the end result of when you succeed can help you stay motivated to reach that goal. It may not always be easy, but if you see yourself accomplishing the small goals you set for yourself, you’ll eventually get to the big ones and take one more step toward the life you see when you think about why you’re doing something in the first place.

“The past cannot be changed. The future is yet in your power.” ~ Mary Pickford
Do you spend a lot of time saying to yourself if I knew then what I know now I would have ..?. I have especially when it comes to the ways I didn’t know my disability was going to my life and what I could have differently to make things easier on myself. This is true, there are missed opportunities, but you can’t go back and change that and if you spend to much time looking back, you just might miss the chance to do better with the next opportunity presented to you.

“The most effective way to do it, is to do it.” ~Amelia Earhart
You can talk about how you’re working on something, how your life is going to be different when you accomplish that goal that you set, but that will only get you so far. Take a step and get started it may be hard for several reasons, but if you are going to get to that goal whatever it is, you have start somewhere. Sign up for a class or research a topic, but do what you have to, to take that first step.
Tips To Help You Stay Focused On Your Goals
Take Breaks: You need to take breaks. You may enjoy learning to work cook, the topic of the new course you’re taking or practicing a new skill, but if you don’t take a break throughout the day to focus on other things besides the new skills you’re trying to learn, then it won’t be fun anymore.
Have Some Fun: While at home, it can be difficult to shut your brain off from the daily tasks you need to accomplish your goals, you need to have some fun too. This may tie into the first tip about taking breaks, but do something fun from watching tv to listening to music or painting your nails to catching up with friends or family,
