Is there a part of a makeup routine that you find absolutely daunting? For me, there are a few things that would be on that list and if you had asked me this time last year, applying lipstick would have been on that list. Don’t get me wrong, I still have to work at applying lipstick most days, however, when I’m applying BH Cosmetics Cashmere Cream Comfort Lipsticks, I don’t really think about the process that much. I’ve been using these ever since I discovered them last summer, so I really excited to finally, finally write this review.
When I first got started with makeup, I wasn’t wearing lipstick simply because my mom was still helping me apply it and that wasn’t something she was okay with me wearing. She would help me with my makeup and my routine consisted of foundation, eyeliner, and possibly lipgloss and I was good with that, then. As I got older, I wanted to start wearing lipstick, but I wasn’t sure where to start and for the most part, I was still okay with lip gloss.
So what changed?
I can’t really say there was one specific thing that led to me wanting to wear lipgloss, other than the fact that I wanted to try some new makeup looks. The first lipstick products I picked up were bullet lipsticks because they were the most common, I think, however, I quickly realized bullet lipsticks weren’t going to work for me. Why? When I applied them, I always felt like my hand was in the way and I couldn’t see what I was doing, add that to the fine motor skill issues, and nine times out of ten my lipstick application was a hot mess. I practiced and practiced, but my lipstick application wasn’t improving so I just stuck to lipgloss, until I heard about BH Cosmetics Cashmere Comfort Lipstick on one of my favorite blogs. After that, I decided to give this a try hoping that it would be a lipstick I could wear… and the rest is history.

Okay, not really, I still had to work at it a little bit, but it was certainly easier than the other lipsticks I tried and it was mostly because of one particular aspect of the product, which I’ll get into a little bit later. Ever since trying this product, BH Cosmetics has become one of my favorite brands. BH Cosmetics is a drugstore makeup brand based in LA that is all about affordability and inclusivity. This brand is a vegan cruelty-free brand that prides itself on creating products that as their website says, “…accommodates our differences”. Now, let’s get to that review.
BH Cosmetics Cashmere Cream Comfort Lipsticks Review
Product Claims:
The Cashmere Cream Comfort lipsticks have been out for about a year at the time that I’m writing this review. The BH Cosmetics website claims this product is a lightweight comfy cream that’s breathable and has a full coverage of long-lasting lip color. The product description from the site states ” pamper your lips in luxury with our Cashmere Cream Lip Color. The lightweight, color-rich formula glides on smoothly for comfortable wear and a full-coverage, creamy matte finish that lasts without feathering or fading.”
I’ve been using these lipsticks for a few months now and I can definitely say it’s lightweight and provides full coverage. A few of the lighter shades did require an extra layer for full coverage, but I didn’t have any issues building the product on my lips.
The Applicator: Remember earlier when I said there was one aspect of this product that I loved? Well, this is it, the BH Cosmetics Cashmere Cream Comfort lipstick has this doe-like applicator that’s smaller than some of the other ones you see on beauty products. The smaller applicator makes it easier for me to see what I’m doing when I’m applying it to my lips and gives me more control over the application in terms of my movements and how much product I use. If you struggle with applying lipsticks because you need more control, you should give this product a try just for the applicator.

Cashmere Comfort Cream Lipstick Shades
This BH Cosmetics lipstick line has 14 Shades, six of which I have with plans to buy 3 other shades. The shade Bae is a nice red, though it appears as a reddish-orange color depending on the lighting. I honestly expected it to be a deeper shade, but it’s a nice color nonetheless, though I do have plans to buy a deeper shade of red from the collection. Extra is one of my favorite colors of the ones that I have, it’s a purplish pink color, that I can see myself wearing a lot this spring. Roast is my other favorite from my collection of these lipsticks, it’s the perfect shade for a nude lip for dark skin girls like me. I’m not sure how it would look on lighter skin tones, it may appear as a pinky brown shade. FTW is the final shade, it’s a not-quite neon pinkish purple shade, those if you wanted to rock a pink shade this spring, I’d definitely go for this color.

The shades in the line are:
- TBH: Light, but bold pink
- Shook: Dark, yet bold red
- Thirsty: A pale slighly mauve pink
- Perf: Light brown
- Tea: Another great nude slightly lighter than the Roast shade
- FTW: bold pinkish purple
- Savage dark red
- Slay : bright red
- Extra: dark pinkish purple
- YAS: nude pink
- Bae: reddish-orange
- Hustle: coral
- Roast: a nice brown almost nude
- 100: a nice purple shade
Price & Packaging: These lipsticks are normally 8 dollars but they are currently on sale for 4.50 to 6.00 dollars depending on the shade you purchase. I’m not a huge fan of the packaging because it’s small, rectangular and difficult to open. When I was first opening these lipsticks I finally got the package open then flipped it over to let gravity do the rest, I tried to actually take the lipstick out of the box, but it just wasn’t working. Honestly, if I didn’t love the product so much and it didn’t have a great price it would be a no-go for me based on this fact.
Overall I really like this product, packaging struggles aside, it’s are easy to put on, easy to travel with, have a great color pay off, is full coverage and affordable. I’m excited to try more shades from the Cashmere Cream Comfort Lipstick line and more open to trying other lipstick products from the brand. Have you tried this product? If so, what was your favorite shade? Let me know in the comments
