Fashion inspiration is everywhere, from television to magazines to blogs and social media platforms, particularly Instagram. When you’re in need of some outfit inspiration, Instagram is a great place to look because there are so many styles, patterns, and outfit combinations you can choose from. Fashion blogs are worth reading about when you have a specific style in mind or want fashion tips aside from inspiration. I love using free time to find fashion tips from fashion blogs or youtube channels. In today’s post, I’m sharing my favorite go-to fashion youtubers & fashion blogs, ones that are definitely worth reading for inspiration and fashion tips.
Fashion Blogs Worth Reading
Cupcakes & Cashmere
Started by Emily Schuman to write about the things she was passionate about, Cupcakes and Cashmere may have started out as a blog, but it is so much more than that these days. Cupcakes and Cashmere is a blog that focuses on the little things in life sharing thoughts on fashion, travel, food, beauty, interior design and more. Cupcakes and Cashmere is also a brand that carries a clothing line developed by the founder as well as exclusive collaborations. I’ve been reading Cupcakes & Cashmere for over a year. I love reading fashion posts for tips and inspiration, though I’m always checking out the beauty tips as well.

My Favorite Cupcakes & Cashmere posts are:
Tips For Getting Ready in 5 Minutes When You’re Feeling Lazy or In A Rush: When I first read this title, I thought “I hope there are a few aspects in here that I can implement because let’s face it getting ready quickly even doing the basics is difficult, disability or not.” I’m happy to say I was pleasantly surprised. The author shares tips like picking out your clothes the night before and keeping your everyday makeup separate from the makeup for special occasions. I’m strongly considering the makeup tip, I organize my makeup, but when I’m rushing, I don’t always have time to reorganize it so I struggle to find items and that takes up more time for me. This post is definitely worth reading if you want your mornings back.
The Easiest Formula for a Chic Look When You’re Feeling Uninspired: Fashion blogs are a great place to look for fashion inspiration, but if you’re still stuck for outfit ideas, this is the post for you. The author talks about a simple yet very effective outfit idea that reminds me of the matching separates trend that’s happening right now. The trend is really growing on me and when spring weather shows up consistently, I’ll be attempting outfits, inspired by this idea, maybe with a twist or two, we’ll see. Sometimes, simple additions to an outfit can give you all new ideas for a piece.

The 23 Favorite Drugstore Products Ka Swears By: This is a post on fashion blogs, nevertheless most fashion blogs also have a few posts on beauty even though their focus in primarily fashion and vice versa. I love this post because I’m always changing up my skincare routine so I’m always on the lookout for new products that could be good for my skin. I read this post for skincare product recommendations, but Katie, the author for this post also shared product recommendations for a full makeup routine from primer to blush and bronzer to lipstick and lip gloss.

Carrie Bradshaw Lied
Started by Kathleen Barnes, Carrie Bradshaw Lied is a fashion and lifestyle blog. can I just take a second to say how much I love the blog name? I never watched Sex In The City, though I liked watching The CW’s The Carrie Diaries when it aired. Anyway back to the blog. Carrie Bradshaw Lied is about affordable luxury in fashion, home decor, and much more. I discovered this blog in 2019 and it has been a source of fashion inspiration ever since. Kathleen’s blog is a must-read especially if you’re into accessories like handbags and shoes. The outfits she creates are amazing, especially when it comes to those accessories.
Spring Espadrilles: In this post, she talks about getting your closet ready for spring. I’m not a fan of these particular espadrilles because I don’t often wear neutral colors, that being said, I love her outfit in the post. I don’t wear espadrilles often, but I love the relaxed vibe they have and love wearing them when I can find a pair that matches my style and will stay on my feet with no issues.

Wardrobe Renting Vs. Buying: Which Is for You?: In fashion, it seems like there’s this unwritten rule about wearing certain fashion pieces more than once, great for your fashion sense I guess, not so much for your wallet. Wardrobe Renting has become a big thing recently especially with Rent The Runway. In this post, she shows off one of the pieces that she rented through her rent the runway subscription and explains the process. As for me, renting outfits is something that I’ve thought about, but right now, I’m having too much fun mix things up while playing my closet. I also know I’d want to keep everything, so I’ll stick to plain old shopping for now.
Fashion blogs are fun and definitely worth reading when you have the time, but when I’m not reading a post, I’m usually on youtube searching for videos with the latest fashion tips. I’ve shared my favorite fashion blogs so now I’m sharing my favorite fashion YouTubers.
Fashion Youtube Channels You Should Be Following
Shea Whitley: Shea is a style vlogger. Her content consists of fashion hauls, wardrobe basics, trends, how-to-style videos and much more. She styles anything from prints and bold colors to neutrals perfect for a day on the go. Her simple style tips will have you looking at your closet with a new perspective next time you go to create an outfit.
Niki Sly: Niki Sly is a new to me Fashion Youtuber at the time of writing this post. I discovered her channel a few weeks ago and have watched more videos when I could. She creates content on fashion hacks, how-to-style pieces, and more. One thing about looking for fashion tips on youtube is you can get so many outfit ideas from a few simple changes to one outfit. As for fashion hacks, those are a huge help and after seeing a few you’ll probably be wondering how some of them never crossed your mind before.
Emily Mariko: Emily Mariko is another new to me Fashion Youtuber. For the videos that I’ve watched she really energetic in her videos which I love. She creates videos on current trends, fashion hauls now she’s giving viewers the chance to shop the clothes in her closet that don’t work for her. I’m definitely looking forward to more of her videos in the future.
Lauren Hutton once said “Fashion is what you’re offered four times a year by designers. And style is what you choose” Fashion blogs and youtube channels are great sources of inspiration, inspiration, and nothing else. They, just like the fashion pieces you see everywhere, are options. The styles on these platforms don’t have to be styles you follow, find your own style if you haven’t already. I said these fashion blogs are worth reading and/or these youtube channels are worth following because there are styles and outfits put together that I really like so I know it’s worth reading/subscribing for more inspiration. I hope you love these fashion blogs as much as I do.
Do you like reading fashion blogs or watching fashion vlogs? If so is there a fashion blog or subscribe to a fashion youtube channel that you think should be added to this list? Let me know with a comment.
