Hi girl, I’m so excited to be back on the blog and I have so much planned for this year. Nevertheless, I realized that it’s been a while since I did a makeup post so I wanted to kick the new year off on the blog by sharing some of the makeup products I’ve been using for the past few months with the second installment of Makeup I’ve Been Currently Loving. I have to tell you though that this list does have a few skincare products too because let’s be honest, while makeup does cover up skin imperfections, your makeup looks even better when your skin looks good.
Let’s get to that list shall we?
Lip Souffle Matte Cream Lipsticks by Rare Beauty I have this product in the shade Brave and I love how it looks. The color I have is perfect for Fall so I wanted to add the shade Inspire to my collection. This is a beautiful red shade. I don’t wear red lipstick often, however, I know it will enhance my makeup looks and overall outfit when I do use it. In addition to the shade Inspire, I’ve added the Shade Fearless to my collection. Fearless is this cute mauve pinkish color and if you haven’t figured it out, I’m obsessed with lipsticks in this shade. I love it because it gives off the I’m wearing makeup vibe, but emphasizes a softer kind of look.
I like the Inspire shade, it’s a good red, but I was kind of disappointed with the Fearless shade because I was hoping it would be a little pinker. I can see myself wearing Inspire again on occasion, as for Fearless, Well, I’ll have to see, maybe I’ll like it better with a lip liner.
Rose Water & Witch Hazel Toner By Mario Badescu: I’ve been using this toner for the past couple of months and I love it. After I used it for a month and saw improvements in my skin, I kept wondering why I had never added toner to my skincare routine before. This product was instrumental in cleaning up my skin and the best part is it’s only $14. If you want to see what other products are a part of my current skincare routine, check out the link below.

Big Ego Vegan Mascara Mini By Tarte Cosmetics: I bought the Big Ego Vegan Mascara mini as part of an Ulta order last year, and I’ve been using it ever since. I love the small and easy to grip handle as well as the fact that a little goes a long with this product, I only apply one coat and love how it looks. Still don’t see why I love it so much? well, this product has great staying power and is only $12 dollars at Sephora and Ulta.
Mascara used to be one the hardest products for me to apply, after eyeshadow, of course, my application would always look clumpy and leave me with dark smudges under my eye… my point is that it was a mess. I avoided it even though I wanted to wear it because every time I tried it came out looking the same and made me want to start my whole makeup routine over again, and let’s be honest before we were all staying at home, nobody has time for that. If you struggle to apply mascara, see if working with the mini makes a difference.
Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser By Glow Recipe: This is one of my favorite cleansers. I tried it for the first time a little over a year ago, finished the bottle, tried a few others, and ended up coming back to this one. The sales associate recommended it to me because I have sensitive skin and most of the other cleansers I tried left me with that dry and tight feeling which is the last thing you want.
I purchased this cleanser from Sephora for $34 dollars over the holidays and have been using it for the past few weeks. According to the packaging, this product can be used as a cleanser, makeup remover, or a face mask. I’ve only used it as a cleanser, but I’m happy with the results. This product has a pump dispenser making it easier for me to get the product out of the bottle and control how much I actually use. For my skincare routine, I use 1.5 pumps, work it in a lather and apply it to my face and neck. This product also comes in a mini size for 10 dollars if you want to try it before committing to adding it as a regular part of your skincare routine. In addition to sensitive skin, I’m also careful about the scents of my products and though you can smell the blueberry aspect it’s relatively light at least to me.

Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer By Glow Recipe: This moisturizer is currently one of my favorites. The two oz bottle of product is 39 dollars, the .85 oz bottle is 21 dollars which is what I usually purchase. This product has different uses depending on your skin type, I like to use it after toning my skin. The scent of this product like the Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser is light, though in my opinion, this one is slightly stronger than the cleanser.
Well, that’s it for this edition of Makeup Products I’m Currently Loving. I hope you find this post helpful if you’re in the market to buy some new products. Have you tried any new makeup products lately, do you have any recommendations for me? If so, let me know in the comments below.
