What is your favorite makeup or skincare product right now? I bet you can think of at least one, a staple in your makeup/ skincare collection that you have purchased again and again. I have my own list of products like that however, I like to try something new every once in a while or an issue with my skin forces my hand when it comes to trying something new. I’ve been trying a few new products lately so naturally they ended up here in the 3rd installment of Makeup I’m Currently Loving.
These products usually have been ones that I’ve either seen on one platform or another or I ended up trying something new from one favorite and/or new brands since I needed a new product. It’s a chance for me to try new things and avoid a makeup rut

Fenty Beauty’s Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color In Uncensored: If you love a bold red lip, you should pick up this lipstick. A good red lipstick is something that every girl who likes makeup should have in her collection because it fits all occasions, casual, a night out, or formal. Truthfully, I’ve only worn this color a few times because a bold look is not my style, but I love it. Sephora’s description of the product states that it’s a “soft-matte finish and perfect universal red”. I can definitely say I agree with the soft matter part of the description because I love the balance that this line achieves, a shine without looking like a glossy finish. I was surprised to find that I didn’t have many issues with the applicator since the lipstick cover is the handle with an extremely short wand, although it does take some time to get used to how it and maneuver to apply the lip color, in my opinion, it is worth the effort. The .13oz/ 4ml bottle costs $25 if you are interested in getting Uncensored or any of the other shades from this line, I’m planning on getting Uncuffed & Unlocked, a rosy mauve and vivid pink respectively. I’d get more shades to be honest, but these just seem like the ones I’ll be wearing most often.
Maybelline’s Eyestudio Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencil: Eyeliner was one of the first makeup products I learned to apply— to my top lid anyway— so I’m always going to get excited when I find a good one. This was my first time using a gel pencil because I always went for retractable ones so I wouldn’t have to sharpen them,—accessibility reasons— ones that weren’t gel products. Nonetheless, I’m so glad I tried this product. I’m so impressed with the staying power considering my eyes water due to the weather. I loved that applying even a little bit of pressure would give me a bolder line. This product comes in two shades from Ulta Beauty: Glazed Toffee and Black Onyx. I got this .04 oz product for 8.99 and I love using it, but I am a little disappointed that I have to sharpen every 2 to 3 uses in order to ensure I don’t irritate my eye and I get a good bold line.

First Aid Beauty KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub: I’ve been hearing about this brand for a while so when I saw someone using this product on Instagram as part of skincare routine, I wanted to give it a try. This is a recent purchase for me and I have to say so far so good. I absolutely love how smooth my skin feels when I use this product. It’s now a part of my shower routine once a week and doing so has made me feel like I’m really making an effort to take care of my skin. I bought this product from Sephora for $28 for the 8.0 oz bottle, the $10 bottle contains 2.0 0z, but they are also available at Ulta Beauty.
One of my favorite things about the fashion and beauty industries in this age of technology is that we can easily share hacks, tips, or new brands with friends for various reasons. These products are not new to the market or being talked up often, but I’m sharing them for the same reason I started this blog, to find a way to make beauty work for me as a woman with a disability
. Do you have a product that you love or think I need to know about? Let me know in the comments
