Happy Labor Day Everyone, Can you believe Labor Day is here already? I’m excited to keep working on my goals and make even more progress on my mindset, my blog, and a few other goals I set for myself this year, but I digress. I’m happy about the upcoming season because I LOVE fall fashion and this time of year, but there are a few purchases that I’ve made which I ended up loving more than I expected to kick off the month. I wanted to do a fun post and share them with you. Here are my Top Purchases of 2021.
Guess Greta Girlfriend Satchel This first one you’ll definitely recognize if you’ve been following me on Instagram because I’m using it in more than a few photos. What can I say I love this bag because of the color, design and features. I have used it so many times since I bought it. It’s cute yet compact and can be used as a shoulder or crossbody bag. The design definitely gives me some early 2000’s vibes and even though it’s a bit of a throwback. I see myself definitely using this bag for a few spring and summer seasons to come.
Venus Cutout Seamless Top: This top has become a favorite in my wardrobe, one I will definitely be keeping as part of a few outfits to transition my closet from summer to fall. The top is a simple white short-sleeved t-shirt with a cutout almost mesh-like detail for the neckline and shoulders that extends a little farther down for the back of the shirt. I followed the advice of the reviews and ordered a size up, it is a form-fitting shirt and I’m glad I did. Style Tip: For the other few tops I ordered from this brand I went with my regular size and was happy with the fit. If you do purchase this top and want to have it be part of one of your fall outfits, spend some time looking around your closet to see how you want to style it without hiding the cutout detail too much.

Voova Jewelry Box: Okay, is it just me or do you find yourself putting your earrings down on your dresser then somehow losing them a few days later? I kept losing all of my favorite pieces and I couldn’t find the jewelry to accessorize my favorite outfits so I purchased the Voova Jewelry Box Organizer, (and remember to put my items in it, most of the time). I love this box, the pieces are easy to maneuver and the compartments are big enough to fit everything. That being said some of the pieces are removable so you have the option to make them bigger in addition to various color options for your box. I bought my Voova’s Jewelry Organizer from Amazon and I’ve been having fun slowly filling up the compartments for earrings every since, next up pendants. I was actually surprised I loved this jewelry box enough to add it to the list of my top purchases of 2021, but I have to admit the color does factor in just a little bit.
Style Tip: You don’t want to just buy a bunch of pieces that don’t fit your style to replace the ones you lost so for your next few shopping trips, when you buy new clothes, look to see how jewelry was styled for the models (websites) or mannequins, it will give you a starting point for styling your outfit.
Forever 21 Beaded Faux Turquoise Hoop Earrings
If you’ve been following me on Instagram for the past month, then you will have definitely seen these earrings. Hoop earrings are definitely my go-to style right now. I’ve been wearing these ever since I bought them to style with Jeans or a pop of color when I’m wearing all white. This pair of hoops has a dangling aspect which adds to the appeal of wearing it for me. I bought this pair of hoops for four dollars, and I’ve worn it so many times already that I’d say it was well worth it.
I’m so excited about the upcoming fall season and putting together outfits that are all about cooler weather and the beauty that are the fall colors so I know I’ll definitely find more fashion pieces that I love before the end of the year, but for now this is the end of my favorite purchases of 2021 post. Have you bought anything this year that you are so glad you did because you keep wearing it again and again? Let me know in the comments.
~Kimberly
