Yay, Summer is finally here, that means beautiful weather, heading to events outside, and a chance to play around with fashion. I’m excited for all these things and ready for some fun with friends and family. However when it comes to living life disability or not, things can happen. When you have a disability sometimes your options are limited and you have to change or cancel plans when things happen with your ride or wheelchair. On those days I love to pick up a book or cross a few things off of my watchlist. Need to refresh your watchlist? Keep reading to see what I’m adding to mine for days I have to cancel plans this summer
Television Shows On My Watchlist This Summer
Leverage: Leverage is a crime/ comedy show where a grifter, thief, hacker, and a few others combine their skill sets to help people who are up against corporations or those with more resources. I’m so excited about this because Leverage is a revival and it was interesting to see what the team would come up with to help their clients and funny to watch the dynamIc between them. I can’t wait to see what they do with the show a decade later.
Loki: Loki gets his own show! A show from Marvel’s Thor, the comic brand expands with another series spin-off tv show where he’s up to the same old tricks. A friend suggested I watch it, but I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. As I’m writing this only two episodes have been released so I’m going to wait a few weeks before getting started so it truly a few hours of binge-watching.
Movies On My Summer Watchlist
Cruella: Another live-action version of a Disney classic, sort of. Cruella is the prequel to 101 dalmatians. In recent years quite a few Disney movies have had live-action versions and while I haven’t loved them all, there are a few that I’m glad to have had live-action versions and I hope I’ll be adding Cruella to that list. I’ve seen the trailer a few times and I can’t wait for this film to be available on Disney Plus without the extra fee.
The Tomorrow War: I think the title is pretty self-explanatory. In this futuristic film, in order to win an ongoing war, people from the past are being drafted to fight. A father determined to protect his daughter’s future joins the cause. When I first saw this trailer a few weeks ago I wasn’t sure I would immediately add it to my watchlist, but I did so we’ll see.
That wraps up my summer watchlist for now, I mean I do have to attempt to enjoy the weather after all. Do you have a summer watchlist for days that you’re stuck inside or recommendations of tv shows and movies I need to add to mine? Let me know in the comments.
