We are months into dealing with staying at home and everything that comes with it because of the pandemic and although many places are loosening the restrictions, we’re still spending much of the day at home. In order to pass the time, I’ve been doing several activities such as reading, painting my nails, practicing makeup stills, streaming some tv shows, and trying to learn a new thing or two.

TV Shows I’m Streaming While Staying In
Old Favorites: Shows Worth Streaming
These first few shows on my list are favorites of mine that I don’t mind watching again and again. The shows all premiered in the early 2000s but I hadn’t started watching them until were 10 seasons in after family and friends recommended them.
Grey’s Anatomy: This is my all-time favorite show and one of the only ones I watch when it airs on television. Grey’s Anatomy follows Meridith Grey and her fellow interns as they navigate their new positions as doctors and the personal situations they find themselves in at times. From trying to stand out as surgical interns and become the best to deal with all the daily workings of the hospital and their personal lives, it’s easy to get sucked into the storylines of the characters. I’ll also say that for the parts that they portray that are accurate for real life, it has given me a new sense of admiration for those in the medical profession especially now with the virus
N.C.I.S: N.C.I.S. is a crime drama that follows a Major Case Response Team of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service led Jethro Gibbs. This is another show that I didn’t expect to like when I started binge-watching it, but a few episodes in, I knew I’d keep going. Although this show is about the cases they solve as a team, the show also delves into their personal lives and the family-like dynamic of the team. They may be solving crimes, but there are funny, heartfelt, and tear-jerking moments throughout the series. There were a number of times I was glad I had started watching the show so far into the series because episodes ended on cliff-hangers and I didn’t have wait to see what happened next.

Criminal Minds: Criminal Minds is also a crime drama that follows the Behavioral Analysis Unit( B.A.U.) of the F.B.I. The team assists police departments around the nation to solve the worst of the worst kind of crimes. The B.A.U. uses their training to predict criminals’ behavior to catch them before they strike again. This show premiered in 2005 and concluded this year after 15 seasons so you can binge-watch the whole show without waiting for new episodes. This show can be dark, twisted, and definitely gory at times so if you gore isn’t for you, I suggest watching the other crime drama on this list.
New To Me: Television Shows Worth Streaming
Jack Ryan: Jack Ryan is a show on Amazon about a C.I.A. analyst who is thrust into the field after discovering a dangerous plot. When this first aired on Amazon Prime last year, I knew I was going to watch it and not just because I liked action/ crime dramas. This show sadly only has 18 episodes for its two seasons, but it’s definitely worth it if you like action-packed shows.

You: This is a Netflix series that follows Joe, a charming yet obsessive bookstore manager who does anything and every to get close to the person of his obsession. Honesty when this show first came on Netflix, I was intrigued, but hesitant to watch the show because the previews made it a tad too creepy for me. However, friends convinced me to give it a shot and it’s not as creepy as the previews made it seem, though keep in mind that as I’m writing this I’ve only watched the first season. I recommend this show, but I won’t say more than that because I don’t want to include spoilers of any kind.
Family Reunion: You know I had to add a comedy to the list, right? Family Reunion is a Netflix series about a family that movies from Seattle to Georgia so that the kids can have more family around. This show makes about to show how important family is but plays on the funny situations that can happen when you’re in a new place among family and friends. The world is a place of uncertainty right now so if you need a moment or two to focus on something else and laugh, definitely add this show to your list of shows to watch while staying in.
Well, that concludes my list of television shows worth streaming, at least for now anyway. Have you watched any of these shows what do you think of them? Have any recommendations for me? let me know with a comment below.
